Unique Shopping Destinations

Looking for something special? A unique gift or quirky keepsake you might not find in the larger shopping malls? Try your luck at a Richmond bazaar, funky farmers’ market or locally owned boutique.
Check out the Mile of Style at Carytown— with nine blocks of eclectic boutiques, fab cafés and one-of-kind home furnishings. The Shops of Libbie & Grove on the Avenues offer distinct fashion and décor items and creative mementos.

For a truly homegrown experience, check out the many farmers markets popping up all over the Region -- including the West End, Lakeside, South of the James Farmers’ Markets, and, of course, the venerable 17th Street Farmers' Market … open Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays from May through October. Nearly every neighborhood in the Region has a specialty shopping outlet to call its own. From River Road to the River District, you'll need several trips to cover them all.
