Hello from Janie:

So many new things are happening in the Richmond Region, including me. I’m the new Tourism Sales Manager here at the Richmond Metropolitan CVB. I’m having a great time exploring and discovering the reasons why everyone says the Richmond Region is “so easy to love.” Stay tuned because as I explore, I’ll pass on great ideas for tours and group adventures.

First, I must tell you that even though I’m new to the RMCVB, I’m not new to tourism sales. From working for a tour operator to representing another CVB in Illinois to serving on the board of Team Illinois, I have spent years partnering with tour operators, group leaders and travel clubs.

I look forward to meeting all of you at the upcoming trade shows and marketplaces at OMCA, NTA, ABA, SYTA, Bank Travel and many other group leader shows scattered across the Mid Atlantic.

When you start to see this area through my eyes, you can begin to understand why you have to see it for yourselves and share it with your groups.
