Begins in the Fan District at the intersection of Harrison Street and extends west to Horsepen Road.

The development of this National Historic Landmark began in 1890 with the unveiling of a monument to Gen. Robert E. Lee. Since then, Richmond has erected statues for three Confederate leaders and, in the mid-1990s, for tennis champion and philanthropist Arthur Ashe Jr.
