As the Region’s primary marketer, the Richmond Metropolitan Convention & Visitors Bureau warmly welcomes meeting planners, tour operators, travel media and leisure travelers. A nonprofit organization, the RMCVB offers a comprehensive array of information and services sure to make your next trip rewarding and fun:
General Information

- Marketing and Sales Plan
- How we’re funded: The Richmond Region comprises the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico and New Kent as well as the city of Richmond. RMCVB's primary funding comes from a tax (transient lodging tax) that hotel guests pay on lodging in those five localities. RMCVB receives 1.75 percent of the transient lodging sales in the Richmond Region. We are also partially funded by the Retail Merchants Association and the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, and receive funding from local partners and sponsors as well as through our non-profit foundation.
