Armenian Food Festival 2014 Runs through Sept. 21 at the St. James Armenian Apostolic Church at 834 Pepper Avenue.
This is the oldest food festival in the Richmond Region, celebrating its 55th anniversary this year.
The traditional Armenian dishes at the festival have all been prepared by church members. Stop by for lunch or dinner. We had a chicken kebob, a cheese boreg and a spinach boreg (we went a little crazy on the boregs, which are savory pastry dishes.)
They also have Armenian beer and a pomegranate wine we would have definitely tried if we weren't eating on the clock.
