Blue Bee Cider, in Richmond's Manchester neighborhood, recently released their Harvest Ration dessert cider. This cider is a combination of apple brandy and a sweet cider of heirloom bittersweets and was produced in collaboration with Catoctin Creek Distilling Company.
This release is perfectly timed to coincide with the state of Virginia's celebration of Cider Week Nov. 14-23.
Blue Bee was founded by Courtney Mailey and uses only Virginia grown apples to make their dry and sweet ciders.
All Blue Bee's ciders can be tasted Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. at their facility on West Sixth street. Tours of the production facility are also given three times a day at 1:30, 3:30 and 5:30 p.m.

Join us for Blue Bee Cider’s Virginia Cider Week Happy Hour! The tasting room will be at full strength with six ciders in bottles and one or two more on tap. The flights will be big and the atmosphere will be lively. Bring a friend – or two!

Blue Bee Cider Making Workshop
Make your own hard cider using Blue Bee Cider’s raw juice and Original Gravity’s equipment. Sat., Nov. 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Space is limited. One registration per person.
