It's time to find out who has the best burger in Richmond. It's time for the first round of the Richmond Burger Beatdown. Let's get reaaaaaaaaaaaady eat some stuff. Today's match up is going to be quite the donnybrook with West Division contenders Can Can and Brux'l Cafe squaring off and 23rd and Maine v Honey Whytes in the East.

West Division

Can Can

earns style points for calling itself a brasserie and their fries frites. Can Can, a French outfit, offers fancy cheese choices: roquefort, gruyère, cheddar or goat cheese. No doubt, Can Can, that Bastogne Bomber, is a real contender.

Brux'l Cafe

is a Belgian restaurant, which almost makes it French, which further intensifies this rivalry. Brux'ls Burger is Filet Mignon grounded, mixed with a black truffle pesto, served with homemade Truffle Mayo and can be topped with pan-seared foie gras.

East Division

23rd and main

The Main Street Mauler boasts a bevvy of burgers on their menu. They've got house-cured bacon, eggs, creamy brie and their signature burger, the 23rd And Main, that's a half pound of ground angus beef on a challah roll with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle.

Honey whyte's

Honey Whyte's is a brash and bold contender with a sign out front proclaiming "Best Burgers in Richmond" and they've got the fans to back up that bravado. Sarah S. on Yelp said "If you're feeling hungry, they also have a delicious burger with a fried egg on it, but I can't remember the name of it." The burger was so good she forgot the name!
