It's almost the big day and we've got another Richmond Region Romance date itinerary for you! Though this date, and all of our other dates, work no matter what season or day of the week! (seriously people, take your special someone out on a Wednesday night date every once in a while.)

Up today we've got Church Hill Eats. This is an evening walking tour of all the good eats in Church Hill. We've selected one drink and one menu item from each stop, so you don't need to make reservations, just grab a seat at the bar.

If you want to take an amazing and comprehensive food tour of Church Hill, check out Real Richmond Food tours. They'll get you all the inside info and maybe even face time with some of Richmond's most exciting chefs.

On with the romance! On with the tour!

1. Sub Rosa Bakery

Sub Rosa closes at 5 on Saturdays. Scoot in right before closing and eat whatever they've got left, though stick with something small as you've got a lot of eating to do. Don't worry about what you're going to eat, it will be delicious. You're trying to be spontaneous here people!

2. The Roosevelt

Across the roundabout from Sub Rosa, you'll find the Roosevelt. Get the Cornbread with Maple Bourbon Butter and pair it with a round of the Seersuckers (Maker's Mark with bourbon and sweet tea!) If you want something a little more, add the Southern Poutine.

3. Metzger Bar and Butchery

Metzger is a Bar and Butchery and you're eating small plates, so go with the Meat and Cheese board here. Pair it with the Apfeldorf.

4. Dutch and Company

Dutch and Company's winter menu if full of hearty favorites to warm you up. Pair the mushrooms (Chestnut cavatellis, nasturtium yogurt, roasted persimmon, galangal, malted chestnuts) with a Hold Your Horses.

5. Patrick Henry's Pub

Night cap. Settle into this local neighborhood spot and finish your evening with a beer; you may need to drop some fish and chips into your bellies too.

And thus concludes your romantic walk around Church Hill. But come back during the day for a Real Richmond Tour because this date only hits about 40% of the good eats in this neighborhood. You haven't even been to Alamo BBQ, Proper Pie and WPA Bakery yet!
