Locals in the Richmond Region look forward to Broad Appetit all year. You'll often hear them wistfully recounting the near-religious experience they had with a dish in 2013 or 2014 over a craft beer.

This year's Broad Appetit is Sunday 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Broad Street between Henry and Adams. Here are the Top 5 Reasons to Eat Your Way Through Broad Appetit!

its huge

This year's festival has 76 restaurants turning out food for attendees. 76 restaurants! Some highlights: Carytown Burgers and Fries & Casa del Barco & Comfort & Croaker's Spot & Graffiato RVA & Lucy's Restaurant & Lunch/Supper! & Pasture & Saison & Shoryuken Ramen & Tarrant's Café &The Savory Grain and so many more!

It's cheap!

It costs three bucks, $3, for tastings at all of these amazing restaurants. That's less than a decent beer!

There's music

All day long on two different stages. There's so much music you can make one lap, lapse into a food coma to some sweet tunes, get up again and run through the whole festival again.

Chef Fights (and demos)

Some of Richmond's finest chefs will face off in the Chef Showdown (many chefs enter, one chef leaves) while others will give demos throughout the day.

It's for a good cause
