A Muscle Shoals Music Revue featuring Amy Black and Sarah Borges

When: Thursday 8 - 10:30 p.m. Where: Ashland Coffee & Tea What? Join powerhouse singers Amy Black and Sarah Borges for a soulful celebration of the incredible music that came out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama in the 1960s and 70s. Together, with a full band, they will perform classic songs originally recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama by Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Lou Rawls, Bob Dylan and many others, as well as a few originals that embody the spirit and soul of Muscle Shoals.

When: Friday 7 p.m. Where: The Diamond What? "Up For Whatever" Night presented by Bud Light.The first 1000 fans 21 and older receive a free t-shirt. Happy Hour and Ladies Night Specials. Dragon Boat Festival

When: Saturday 8 a.m. Where: Rockett's Landing What? The sport brings social groups and businesses alike down to the water to bond and compete, building a stronger sense of “team” with every stroke. From vets to newbies, anyone can have a good time – we’ve made sure there’s plenty of time to kick back (or thrown down!) between races.



Hank Williams Jr

When: Saturday 6 p.m. Where: Innsbrook After Hours What? So you think you know ol’ Bocephus? Well, get ready for the most outspoken, controversial, flat-out rowdy Hank Williams, Jr. album in years with Old School, New Rules. A clearly energized Hank tackles 11 new songs—10 of them self-penned— with a vigor and sense of purpose that makes ample use of his remarkable musicality, instantly recognizable vocals, and always-present charisma.



Eating on the Avenues Food Tour

When: Saturday 2 p.m. Where: Pearl's Cupcake Shop What? Join us along Libbie and Grove avenues and sometimes Patterson Avenue in the city's West End for a leisurely afternoon of sauntering, sampling, and shopping. We'll do less walking than our usual tours and hear from more chefs, owners and--special feature--antique experts at some of Richmond's finest shops. We'll pop into several food and wine purveyors and restaurants, depending on the day and route. Your tour will include several from this illustrious list: Barrel Thief, Westhampton Pastry Shop, Yellow Umbrella, Cafe Caturra, J. Emerson, Palani Drive, Gearhart's Chocolates, Pearl's Cupcake Shoppe, The Continental at Westhampton, and The Blue Goat, for a fun-filled and filling afternoon!



Patrick Henry Reenactment

When: Sunday 1:15 p.m. Where: St. John's Church What? Since 1976, St. John’s Church Foundation has presented historical reenactments at the original location of the Second Virginia Convention of March 1775. Professional actors in 1770s attire portray ten delegates, including Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington. The delegates engage in the debates and arguments of the Second Virginia Convention, which lead up to Patrick Henry’s immortal “Give me liberty or give me death!” speech.
