2021 Richmond Folk FestivalVisit Website
The Richmond Folk Festival will return this fall, live and in person to celebrate its 17th anniversary the weekend of October 8-10, 2021. The festival has become one of Virginia’s largest, drawing thousands of fans each year to downtown Richmond’s riverfront to celebrate the roots, richness and variety of American culture through music, dance, traditional crafts, storytelling and food. The free, three-day event features six stages showcasing music and dance from more than 40 artists from around the world. This includes the Virginia Folklife Area, which celebrates regional traditions; the ever-popular CarMax Family Area, produced by the Children’s Museum, with activities and participatory performances for the young and young at heart; and a bustling Crafts Marketplace. Admission is FREE, but donations are appreciated. Visit RichmondFolkFestival.org for details. Produced by Venture Richmond Events in partnership with the National Council for the Traditional Arts.
