THE BOTTOM SHOW! (Fridays only!)
Directed by James Ricks
An amateur theatre group, flirtatious fairies and some rock and roll...The best way to spend your Friday night!
Bottom is known as one of Shakespeare's most beloved characters from 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'. In this production we follow his story as he and his drama troupe attempt to put on a show for the Duke, only to end in hilariously disastrous results.
* Warning: This show is devoid of anything vaguely intellectual, serious or romantic.
TWELFTH NIGHT or ‘What You Will’ (Thurs, Sat, Sun)
Directed By Dr. Jan Powell
"If music be the food of love, play on."
Shakespeare’s hilarious tale of unrequited love crackles with quick wit and gender-bending hijinks. Stranded on the coast of Illyria, Viola assumes the disguise of a page boy for Duke Orsino and finds herself at the center of an explosive love triangle in which identity, passion, and gender all threaten to come undone. Bursting with vitality and romance, Twelfth Night gives us some of Shakespeare’s most memorable characters and one of his most dynamic heroines.
NOTE: We request that patrons purchase tickets online so that we can more easily anticipate crowd sizes and manage any safety protocols mandated by the VA Dept of Health.
