Chalee Jr

Chalee Jr. and KG The Kid bring Dem DD-214 Boys to the Richmond Funny Bone, combining stand-up shaped by military service with stories about civilian life. Both comedians are retired 20-year U.S. Navy veterans who turned to comedy after their service. Chalee Jr. draws on the transition from military to civilian routines, while KG The Kid brings observational humor, relationship stories, energetic delivery and crowd work. The pair have performed together since 2016, developing an onstage chemistry that frames their different experiences in a shared veteran-comedy show. The production mixes veteran perspectives with performances by civilian comedians. Expect personal storytelling, quick audience interaction and humor rooted in the contrast between life in uniform and everyday situations.
