Tour Shockoe Bottom, one of Richmond’s oldest historic districts, while we explore the struggles for freedom that helped shape America. Discover stories of Virginia’s earliest indigenous inhabitants, Thomas Jefferson’s historic Statute of Religious Freedom, enslaved people fighting to be free, Dr. Mary Walker’s demands for equality for women and more.
Family friendly tour! Kids under 18 are free. Easy, 1 mile round trip walk that includes a fun scavenger hunt for kids.
