Main Street Station Hosts Annual Holiday Open House A free, family-friendly community event to usher in the holiday season. Main Street Station is thrilled to invite you its annual Holiday Magic at Main St. open house on Sunday, December 8th, 2025 from 12-8pm at Main St. Station. This free, family-friendly event offers a festive celebration of the holiday season at the historic venue, featuring a variety of activities for all ages. The event will include a curated selection of local vendors offering unique holiday gifts in partnership with Richmond Night Market, children’s arts & crafts stations with the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, a photo booth and story time with Santa, gift wrapping services, a DJ playing festive tunes, lively Christmas caroling, a bar with seasonal cocktails provided by The Len and much, much more. “We’re so excited to launch the holiday season by opening the doors to Main St. Station and we hope this will become new annual holiday tradition in the Richmond region,” said Crystal Lowery, Program & Operations Manager at Main Street Station. “Our Holiday Magic at Main St. open house is all about bringing the community together to celebrate the magic of the season in a historic and festive setting. It’s a free, fun way for families to come together and create new holiday memories.” Guests looking for an additional experience can purchase tickets to ride the holiday magic train, a special holiday experience curated in partnership with Amtrak. Individuals or families of up to 4 passengers can purchase tickets [insert price $] to catch the holiday magic train from the Amtrak Staples Mill station to Main St. Station. The ride will include complimentary cookies and hot chocolate and fun interactive experiences with holiday characters such as The Grinch, Santa’s elves, and more. Registration is required for the train ride and tickets can be reserved online at Eventbrite and payment will be coordinated by Main St. Station staff.
