Hope and Recovery: Beethoven Opus 132 and Eliot Four Quartets

This famous late string quartet in five movements contains Beethoven’s epithet “hymn of thanksgiving to God upon recovery from an illness.”  We pair this profound music with a reading by Kenneth A.
