Innervision Records label recording artist Kim Scott released her debut album of jazz music for flute in 2011 entitled “Crossing Over”, which received high acclaim. She has since become well-known for her exceptional tone, intoxicating melodies, and flawless technique on the flute. Kim Scott released her sophomore CD, “Rite of Passage” in May of 2013. The debut single, “Golden” and the follow-up single “Block Party”, were the #1 most played and most added songs the day of their national release. “Rite of Passage” was in the top 15 on all the national smooth jazz charts including the Billboards, Radiowave and Smoothjazz.com.
In 2016, she was signed to Innervision Records Label and released the single “Sizzle”, written by her and trumpeter Lin Rountree, which made its way to the top 20 on national smooth jazz charts. September 2016 saw the release of “Southern Heat”, Kim’s 3rd album and her debut album on the Innervision label that took the world by storm. Kim’s latest single, “Emerge”, was co-written by herself and pianist Jonathan Fritzen and is the lead single from her 4th album “Free to Be”. The single was #1 for two weeks on the Billboard and Groove charts. “Free to Be” was released July 19, 2019 and made its way to Billboard's top 25 Jazz Albums chart.
In addition to being a national recording artist, she is the host of “Block Party Radio Show” which airs on jazz radio stations across the globe and is now nationally syndicated across the United States.
Kim Scott has performed on the stages of Blues Alley, Seabreeze Jazz Festival, Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz, Catalina Jazz Traxx and more as a soloist. She is also a member of the all-female jazz supergroup Jazz in Pink, alongside other musicians such as keyboardist Gail Jhonson and violinist Karen Briggs, and has shared the stage with them across the country.
Nathan Mitchell, an accomplished American smooth jazz /soul (composer – producer – keyboardist/multi-instrumentalist) 3x NAACP Image Award nominee and Grammy nominated artist has become one of the most respected “musical storytellers” in the industry.
This award nominated~winning artist is known best for his showmanship, unique talent, enthusiastic energy, and funk as a collaborator with many GRAMMYS winning, nominated, and BILLBOARD artists. He has crisscrossed the globe as a special guest featured artist with highly esteemed luminaries of the music industry such as Najee, Nick Colionne, Eric Darius, Dawn Robinson (En Vogue/ Lucy Pearl), Irene Cara, Stokley (Mint Condition), and many more premier industry artists.
His 2012 release of "For All Eternity" accompanied by the heartfelt tribute to his wife, who passed away of cancer in 2010, "My Angel" has noted the true passion of what music lovers crave in what they coin as ~ Music from the Heart. In 2018 Nathan released his first national debut album under his production company ENM Music Group entitled SMOOTH GROOVE. From this musical work two of his songs accomplished great success on mainstream media “Inspiration" which made the top 30 on the Smooth Jazz Billboard charts at #22 and “Smooth Groove” at #20. One of his greatest achievements was the completion of Nathan’s 2020 NAACP Image Award Nominated album entitled, “SoulMate” which made its debut September 4, 2019. The success of this project was already deemed to be a success with the acceptance of the first single hitting mainstream media (SIRIUS XM, iHeart Radio, etc...) entitled “Swing City” which made great strides as a top 10 hit on the BILLBOARD charts and Smooth Jazz Network Charts, in addition to securing his first #1 on the Mediabase Smooth Jazz charts. In 2021 he was nominated for a 2nd NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Jazz Album” for his creative release during the global pandemic shutdown ~ Donny, Duke, & Wonder. In 2022, he was honored once again with his 3rd NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Jazz Album” for his album ~ Love Languages.
Nathan has humbly received continuous worldwide recognition as “one of the best to do it” in the entertainment industry winning the hearts of music lovers all over the world whom he refers to as “The Chocolate Factory”. Regardless of his ongoing success and growing accomplishments, Nathan’s musical journey is excelling him to a vast legendary status.
