Tight harmonies, clever arrangements, and an actor’s sensibility characterize Marquee Five, the collaboration of Mick Bleyer, Lynsey Buckelew, Adam West Hemming, Vanessa Parvin, and Sierra Rein – five “special and incredible voices” (CabaretHotlineOnline.com). Marquee Five brings a spunky, intelligent flair to exciting five-part arrangements running the gamut of the Broadway canon and the American Songbook.

Hailed as “a breath of fresh air in the cabaret world” (BroadwayWorld.com) with “superb blend in song” (NiteLifeExchange.com), the group won a 2010 MAC Award for their debut show at The Metropolitan Room, “We Can Make It: The Songs of Kander and Ebb.” In 2010, they presented “8-Track Throwback” at Don’t Tell Mama, which Cabaret Scenes called “top-notch spectacular.” Featuring favorites from Stevie Wonder, Carole King, Leonard Cohen and more, “8-Track Throwback” pays tribute to the singer/songwriters of the 60s and 70s with arrangements by Adam West Hemming. Soon after, they were described as the “Manhattan Transfer for the
new millennium” (TimesSquareChronicles.com) consisting of “five smooth, synchronized and powerful singers” (CabaretScenes.org). They produced an album version of “8-Track Throwback" in 2011. In 2013 they performed their third show, “Broadway By The Letter: Act 1,” at 54 Below and SOPAC, NJ. The group is currently developing “Back Porch Swing”, a new set featuring classic swing, blues, and jazz songs, arranged in music director Adam West Hemming’s signature style.

Marquee Five appeared at APAP NYC 2016 in January, and performed “8-Track Throwback” to a sold out crowd at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in March of 2016.
