Musical Showcase Featuring Sujeet Desai

Get ready to be inspired by internationally acclaimed musician Sujeet Desai! Mastering seven instruments: Bb and bass clarinet, alto saxophone, violin, piano, trumpet & drums, Sujeet has not let his Down syndrome diagnosis get in the way! He graduated with honors from high school in 2001 and graduated from the Berkshire Hills Music Academy in Massachusetts after a two-year residential post-secondary study in Music and Human Services.

Sujeet has performed in almost every state and 13 countries and is the recipient of numerous national and international awards for his music and self-advocacy. He made his Carnegie Hall debut in 2015 to a standing ovation and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal and Time Magazine as well as on TV shows including The View, 20/20 and The Oprah Winfrey Show. This year he was one of 14 exceptional musicians in the world to be chosen to play in a music video that will be shown at the Paralympic Games in Rio.

For the past 20 years Sujeet has worked very hard to become the best musician he can be. He is a role model and has brought inspiration and hope to individuals with disabilities and their families, educators and anyone who meets him. His family takes
pride in his accomplishments and for everything he has brought into their lives.

Sujeet's MISSION is to send a message across the world that given opportunities for their abilities, individual with disabilities can “Make It Happen!” Sujeet's music is more than just entertainment. It's educational, inspirational and focused to make his MISSION POSSIBLE!

Opening for Sujeet will be local individuals who have also worked hard to fulfill their dream of being a musician. Join us and be ready to be inspired!
