"Visual Improvisations" is the second solo show by Ausra Huntington (resident of North Chesterfield, VA), featuring her abstract and semi-abstract photography. This personal photography show coincides with other exhibitions happening at Art Works and Art Space, so you can see more than one during your visit!
Ausra Huntington has pursued her passion for photography for over thirty years. Her images have been published in two books and exhibited in several personal, juried, and group shows in VA and abroad.
The inspiration for this collection was music- lots of music of different styles, performed by various artists and bands, including classical, modern, bluegrass, rock and dance music. All pictures were created by photographing natural objects from a different point of view or using techniques that bring a surreal out of the mundane. The final result is a fascinating mix of natural and digital, curves and colors. Pictures will resonate with the viewer’s own experiences and appeal to people who love music, abstract art, and some of the “weird’ aka improvisations.
