You'll arrive as strangers to Belfast and Harbor View House, but after meeting Mary Ellen and Trish you'll feel you were leaving as friends.. They are friendly, helpful and informative with a great sense of humour. All this without being intrusive. The rooms are very stylish and comfortable and furnished in keeping with the history of the house. There is a library of information, travel books etc. plus a large selection of VCR tapes for the use of guests. The house is in a quiet location within easy walking distance to the centre, and has a great view from the outside deck As others have commented, breakfast is an event not to be missed; because theirs is something else. And the homemade afternoon cookies are worth waiting for! You can spend 3 weeks touring New England and this place will be easily the best place stay in. The town of Belfast has a comfortable, slightly old-fashioned feel to it. Within walking distance, there are several restaurants and bars serving a range of food. The local boat trip is well worth taking with good chances to see porpoise and harbour seals.
