Although larger than one may suspect, and seemingly touristy, the food is remarkably (suprizingly) excellent. Scallops with linguine is all about the great scallops. Fried oysters are light and crisp. Steamed lobster is perfectly done. The chowder is arguably perfect. "I have been to the Union Oyster House , the oldest continually operating restaurant in the U.S., several times. The restaurant itself is cozy and guess what?? It looks old! What you will get is good Boston style!
