The Foundation

RICHMOND REGION TOURISM FOUNDATION

The Richmond Region Tourism Foundation is a 501(c)(3) entity organized to conduct and support activities that promote the advancement and further the charitable and educational activities within the purpose  of Richmond Region Tourism. Specific Foundation activities include supporting the I am Tourism Ambassador training program and funding an annual scholarship. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded at the Richmond Region Open Golf Tournament and is made possible through proceeds from the tournament. 

Financial support for the Foundation comes from the Foundation's annual golf tournament, as well as individual and corporate contributions and gifts. Makaela Stillworth

Graduation Date: May 2016
Makaela recently completed an internship at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Spa in Monterey, CA, in which she was able to acquire first-hand knowledge about event execution from beginning to end. Her academic honors and awards include induction into Eta Sigma Delta National Hospitality Honor Society where she serves as vice president. She is also a member of the National Society of Minorities in Hospitality where she serves as the membership director.

He has worked with both ARAMARK and Marriott Vacation Clubs. His experience also includes a trip to China to participate in an educational program focused on sustainable agriculture tourism.
