I Am Tourism Ambassador Program
Join Richmond Region Tourism Foundation for its free I Am Tourism Ambassador workshop and discover what makes our region an exciting, must-visit destination. This engaging workshop features an interactive classroom session that gives participants a big-picture view of the Richmond Region. You’ll explore top attractions, restaurants, and things to do while learning how tourism fuels our local economy, supports small businesses, and shapes the story of our region. Along the way, you’ll connect with peers from across the community who share a passion for RVA.
I Am Tourism workshops are designed for:
- Longtime residents and newcomers to the region
- Front-line hospitality professionals
- Restaurant and service industry staff
- Corporate, nonprofit, and small business teams
- Anyone curious to learn more about the Richmond Region

Graduates receive:
A regional attractions guest pass with free and discounted admission to local museums and experiences
A Kings Dominion ticket
A certificate of completion designating you as an I Am Tourism Ambassador
An I Am Tourism lapel pin
An official Richmond Region I Am Tourism Ambassador Toolkit
After completing the workshop, participants may volunteer to represent the Richmond Region at conferences, tournaments, and special events throughout the year. Graduates also have the opportunity to continue their learning by enrolling in the 6-week I Know Richmond program, presented by The Valentine.
