BLK RVA Event Sponsorship
The BLK RVA Event Sponsorship Program, with generous support from our funders, has a finite amount of dollars that can be awarded to help promote your tourism-focused event. It will be a competitive process, and your answers in this application will be vital to the BLK RVA Advisory Committee. Any tourism or hospitality organization or event planner can apply for a cash sponsorship or in-kind sponsorship for up to $2,500, but your awarding amount, if any, is not guaranteed year to year.
1. The event must be aligned with BLK RVA's four pillars: Food & Drink, Arts & Entertainment, History, and Community and must be promoted as a BLK RVA tourism/hospitality-focused event, must be open to the public and must be hosted in one of the seven jurisdictions served by Richmond Region Tourism and BLK RVA. Jurisdictions include the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, New Kent, and Henrico as well as the city of Richmond, the city of Colonial Heights, and the town of Ashland.
2. Organizations are required to provide comprehensive details regarding their event at the time of submission. This includes the event date, sponsorship funding requirements, and specific ways in which BLK RVA can participate. Please note that the absence of these details may impact your selection during the review process. Additionally, BLK RVA may require a presence (e.g., a table) at approved events, as this enhances the value of all sponsorships.
3. W9 Submission Requirement: Organizations must submit a signed and updated W9 form at the time of application submission. Please be aware that failure to provide this documentation may result in delays in payment distribution.
4.Organizations must submit a completed Post-Event Review Form for each event listed in this application, including any relatable documentation, within thirty (30) days after the event's completion.
5. Instead of cash sponsorships, an organization may request an In-kind sponsorship. For example, a BLK RVA photographer or videographer. NOTE: Images and videos must be shared with Richmond Region Tourism and BLK RVA to promote the Richmond Region.
