RICHMOND REGION TOURISM FOUNDATION SPORTS GRANTS

Sports tourism is thriving in the Richmond Region. In fiscal year 2024 alone, events booked through Richmond Region Tourism generated $107 million for our community. To build on that impact, the Richmond Region Tourism Foundation offers sports grants to help local sports organizations grow and enhance tournaments and events that bring in visitors from outside the region.

Statement/Acknowledgment of Grant Policy In submitting this application, the organization applying for the grant agrees to the following: - If awarded, the sports grant will be applied to help increase the number of participants, spectators and/or visitors to the Richmond Region. - If awarded a sports grant, the organization agrees to provide Richmond Region Tourism an Event Verification Form for each event(s) with this application prior to each event and the Post-Event Review Form and a W-9 within 30 days after the completion of your event. - If awarded a sports grant, the organization (or its affiliated housing bureau) agrees to work with Richmond Region Tourism on promoting hotel information to attendees.
