Gardens Galore in the Richmond Region
The Richmond region is blessed with four distinct seasons: sun-kissed summers, delightful falls, mild winters and sunny springs. This means the Richmond VA gardens show off in different ways all year long. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, which USA Today named one of the Best Public Gardens in the U.S. anchors the Richmond Garden Trail. Stroll the picturesque grounds of Maymont, a historic estate with glorious gardens, a nature center and children’s farm (also alligators, they have alligators) and a Victorian mansion that gets all gussied up for the holidays. The VMFA Sculpture Garden features Dale Chihuly’s “Red Reeds” and offers the perfect green space for kids, dogs, even yoga.
