The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) is one of the largest comprehensive art museums in the U.S. It’s also the only one open 365 days a year with free general admission. After you tour the galleries, grab lunch at the Best Café on the first floor.

Tour Virginia Commonwealth University’s Institute for Contemporary Art, where you can explore the art and issues of our time. While you’re there, take in the artsy vibe of the VCU campus, home to of one of the country’s most renowned art schools. 

Attend a performance by The Richmond Ballet, Latin Ballet of Virginia, Elegba Folklore Society, Virginia Opera, Richmond Symphony, Firehouse Theater, Virginia Repertory Theatre, Quill Theatre or visiting artists at University of Richmond’s Modlin Center for the Arts.
