BLK RVA Business Photography Program

BLK RVA was established in August 2019, as a collaborative initiative between Richmond Region Tourism (RRT) and 20+ community leaders. Now as part of the Richmond Region Tourism Foundation (RRTF), BLK RVA's mission is to attract visitors to the Richmond region and inspire locals to embrace what’s in their own backyard. The program aims to serve as a beacon of equity and inclusivity by supporting a thriving ecosystem of diverse hospitality and tourism businesses and ensuring that Black-owned businesses share in the economic impact of local tourism. We do this by promoting the Richmond region as a multicultural hub that specializes in four pillars: Arts & Entertainment, Food & Drink, Community, and History.

Richmond Region Tourism and BLK RVA are offering a photography sponsorship to help rooted and rising businesses market their business to increase visitors from outside of the Richmond Region, whether they are traveling for leisure travel or meetings and conventions. Outside of the region includes travelers 50 miles or more. Approximately 20 Black-owned hospitality and tourism businesses located within Richmond Region Tourism’s seven jurisdictions (City of Richmond, Chesterfield County, Hanover County, Town of Ashland, City of Colonial Heights, Henrico County, and New Kent County) will receive a total of 3-5 high-resolution images for free. RRT and BLK RVA will own the photos and utilize them to market the Richmond Region to visitors.

This sponsorship will be a competitive process and your answers in this application will be vitally important to the BLK RVA Advisory Committee. Any tourism or hospitality Black-owned business can apply for this sponsorship but selection, if any, will also depend on whether the business is listed ours  www.visitblkrva.com.
