The Richmond Region comprises the counties of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent and Powhatan as well as the city of Richmond and town of Ashland. Richmond Region Tourism's primary funding comes from a tax (transient lodging tax) that hotel guests pay on lodging in the localities of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico and the city of Richmond. Richmond Region Tourism receives 1.75 percent of the transient lodging sales. We are also partially funded by the Greater Richmond Convention Center Authority (GRCCA), the ChamberRVA, and from local partners and sponsors.
