VCU welcomes NJIT to the Siegel Center for a nonconference matchup in the Rams’ 2026–27 men’s basketball season. VCU enters the campaign after a 28-win year that included an Atlantic 10 tournament title and an NCAA tournament victory. Seven players from that squad are listed among the returning Rams, including All-Atlantic 10 first-team selection Lazar Djokovic, conference Rookie of the Year Nyk Lewis and All-Defensive Team pick Brandon Jennings. The game offers a chance to see how a team with returning contributors begins its new season against the Highlanders. Expect the familiar pace and changing momentum of college basketball, with VCU’s home crowd adding an energetic setting for an early-season contest.
