Richmond Area Gardens

We’ve landscaped the whole region for you

This is the ideal climate for growing some amazing flowers and plants. The Richmond region has four distinct seasons, which means our gardens have something to show off all year long. Our crown jewel of the garden scene is Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, which USA Today named one of the Best Public Gardens in the U.S. Lewis Ginter anchors the Richmond Garden Trail, featuring 10 awesome gardens within 10 miles. More must-sees: Maymont, a historic estate with an Italian garden, Japanese garden, Arboretum and specialty gardens – plus a nature center and children’s farm with everything from alligators to venomous snakes. And the VMFA Sculpture Garden features Dale Chihuly’s “Red Reeds,” Juame Plensa’s 24-foot tall “Chloe,” yoga doers and wine sippers.
