Cycling The Richmond Region
A place that was made to ride
Back in 2015, Richmond burst onto the international cycling stage as host to the UCI Road World Cycling Championships. This nine-day event (think the World Cup for cycling) showed off Richmond’s biking culture. And it still runs deep. Bring your bike, and take us on -- or rent one when you get here. Your options are everywhere.
Pick up the 52-mile Virginia Capital Trail downtown. Ride the Bell-built downhill and flow tracks or old-school single track at Pocahontas State Park. Ride the Ashland Trolley Line to a sweet little railroad town. Ride the Dogwood Dell Loop next to the Victorian Gothic Pump House. Or use this link to map your best bike path to anywhere in the region. We’re bike friendly. Come, and be your own engine. Check out the trails here.
