All of our rooms are well-appointed and spacious, and create a warm and inviting atmosphere for your gathering. The Nelson Taylor Room The elegantly rustic Taylor Room highlights a wood-beamed ceiling and rich warm room tones. This cozy atmosphere with working fireplace, can accommodate 50 seated guests, while additional space may be utilized in the adjoining Pub. Capacity (seated): 50 Capacity (standing): 60 Veranda The lovely glassed-in Veranda allows the sun to cascade year-round into this light and airy space. This cheery porch can be combined with the Historic Rooms for additional space. This room is perfect for bridal luncheons and rehearsal dinners. Capacity (seated): 48 Capacity (standing): 60 The Coach House The Coach House and brick patio are an elegant settings for indoor/outdoor ceremonies and receptions. Using an early 19th century stable at Hickory Hill Plantation in Hanover County as inspiration, the architectural firm Carlton Abbott & Partners designed a 3,200 square foot building that, while remaining respectful of the historic site, incorporates modern amenities such as private restrooms, audio/visual system, and adjacent guest parking.
